Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- Some creative minds in the midwest are inspiring others on how to build better cities.
This is the 3rd TED-x event held in Fargo. It's a global movement that promotes ideas worth spreading.
Today's event featured speakers covering topics from arts and education to creating sustainable communities.
Doug Burgum with the Kilbourne Group says, "by 2050 there will be 9 billion people on the planet. To efficiently manage that growth and resources, we need to have cities that function well, are productive, are sustainable, that educate people, that produce things, that don't consume as much."
Today's ideas will be available online at TEDXFargo.com.
