Grand Forks, ND (WDAY TV) -- The UND campus has been rock'n all week, all sorts of homecoming events before the big bash, the football game today.
Sherise Volek/UND Student: "We had color dress up days and I think a lot of people had a lot of fun doing that."
Homecoming week kicked off Monday with a Campus Breakfast and events have continued throughout the week getting students excited for today's game.
Chelsea Hay/UND Student: "I went to greek god and goddess which is a UND Sorority and Fraternity event and the nI went to Pep Fest."
An Ice Cream social, T-shirt day, Pep fest, the Sioux Award Banquet and a Fan Luncheon were just a few of the events that took place throughout the week…the favorite being the pep fest.
Hay:"I loved seeing Pep Fest, I think that was super fun.
Volek: "The Pep Fest, and see who was crowned the homecoming royalty cause I think that's really cool because I was homecoming Royalty in my hometown in high school."
However, when it came to the game itself, no event was more popular.
Hay: Everything is leading up to the football game and kinda tailgating and just kind of the big hurrah.
Tara and George Haj/UND alumni: "Football game was my favorite---football of course.
Shanda Spilde/UND alumni: "The sporting events, everyone just gets so into it and all the alumni come back so it's really fun to see everybody excited."
A popular weekend at every University, Homecoming is known for not only bringing current students together but alumni as well.
Tara and George Haj: It brings back a lot of memories, coming back and just seeing friends…..It just brings back old memories and it feels like coming home.
