Oktoberfest kicks off in downtown Fargo

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- Oktoberfest is once again taking over downtown Fargo.

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- Oktoberfest is once again taking over downtown Fargo.

The annual celebration kicked off with the keg ceremony at the Old Broadway this afternoon. Even Fargo Mayor Walaker enjoyed a taste.

Tomorrow events begin at 10 a.m. On Broadway between Main and N-P Avenue. There will be a bean bag tournament, a pub crawl and even root beer sampling for kids.

The Hot Dog eating contest will follow everybody's favorite, the running of the weiners, at 5.
