Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- A local kid's fitness club will use the final installment of a 3-year grant to fight childhood obesity.
TNT was awarded more than 160-thousand dollars this year as part of a Carol M. White grant.
The grant provided 700-thousand dollars over three years to the program.
TNT has used the grant to develop 7 "after-school" programs focused on engaging children in physical activities.
Executive Director, Kim Pladson, says, "we were one of a very few people with community-based organizations to receive this grant in the whole United States, the very first for North Dakota. We're very proud of that, and we've worked very hard."
TNT Kid's Fitness promotes a healthy lifestyle for children.
