Thousands of students take place in the first state-wide day of caring

Two thousand students participated in the first state-wide student day of caring. Volunteers visited homes of senior citizens to help with light cleaning projects.
Davies High School students were among those giving a helping hand.
Anjali Lall, a Davies student, says, "you have people from very big businesses to students like us. And so, it's really nice for us as students to be a part of something that's unifying the whole community."
The local United Way has sponsored a day of caring for 21 years.
