Moorhead, MN (WDAY TV) - It was the most talked game of the weekend, a "Did you hear what happened at the Cobber game on Saturday?" question that was echoed all over the metro. To see it defied description.

To live it as Terry Horan and his Concordia football team has had to do has to be unbearable.

The Cobbers led Bethel 14-7 with two seconds left. On the supposed final play of the game, Concordia forced a fumble and scooped up the ball, but several Cobbers were on the field. The refs called unsportsmanlike conduct, giving Bethel another chance. They scored a touchdown and two-point conversion to win the game 15-14.

Terry Horan, Concordia Head Coach: “It stings, no question about that. That was our victory. It all looked like an incomplete pass that's probably why everybody on the field was cheering. Hard for me to get upset at anybody for cheering a big play. Won’t do that. Something we have to learn from.”

Cobbers return to the Jake this Saturday to host Hamline for homecoming.
