(WDAY TV) -- The numbers have been crunched, and an early storm turned out to be a wide spread record breaker.
Grand Forks had 3 and a half inches of snow on Thursday. The previous record for that date or earlier was 2 inches from October 2nd in 1950.
The heaviest snow fell in Roseau County where about a foot fell by 3 Thursday afternoon.
The 1950 storm produced 2 to 7 inches across the region.
