West Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- A 10-year-old boy who is getting a double-lung transplant was treated like a rock star at South Elementary in West Fargo.
The whole school chanted Jordan Peterson's name as they presented his family with 23-hundred dollars they raised in just three days.
Jodan has cystic fibrosis, and his family will relocate to Texas Children's Hospital for his transplant.
His mother, Annette, says they didn't expect such a huge reception from the school.
Annette says, "it's quite a surprise. Jordan's eyes lit up as he was walking down the hall as he started to hear the kids. And he - I think he felt a little overwhelmed. We both did."
A boy at South Elementary donated his organs after he was hit by a car and killed in June, and principal Kersting's daughter Alexa died while waiting for a double-lung transplant.
