Vikings surprisingly atop the NFC North

Minneapolis, MN (WDAY TV) - A new month is here and the Minnesota Vikings are sitting on top of the NFC North. I don't know of any NFL experts that would have predicted that at any time during the year.

But the Vikes will take it, a 3-1 record with three of the next four games at home.

The Purple beat Detroit 20-13 yesterday despite the offense not scoring a touchdown, the first they've done that since 2005 as this young team builds confidence.

Christian Ponder, Vikings Quarterback: “Big time for us, special teams and defense, obviously as an offense wish we could be more productive but we didn't have to.”

Leslie Frazier, Vikings Head Coach: “They didn’t' blink. They kept fighting, kept making plays, offense, defense, special teams. Tremendous team win.”

One reason the Vikes are 3-1? Christian Ponder is the only starting QB in the NFL without an interception.
