Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - It's been 11 months since the Bison lost a football game and the last team to beat NDSU returns to Fargo this week.
That's just the backdrop for a matchup of two of the best teams in FCS as the Bison welcome third ranked Youngstown State.
The Penguins were the only team to beat NDSU last season, 27-24, and have roared out of the gates to a 4-0 start this year with an FBS win and the head coach says the players don't need any reminders from last year.
Craig Bohl, 1-3 Record vs. Youngstown State: “Without question, Youngstown beat us last year fair and square, wasn't a fluke. Certainly mindful for our players to recognize this is a very good football team we had a close game with them. We need to play well to beat them, and we'll certainly make note of the fact our only loss last year so they're well capable of beating us and we need to prepare well to have a chance to beat them.”
The latest FCS Coaches Poll is out today. The top five remain unchanged; the only difference, NDSU gets all first place votes. UND's next opponent Eastern Washington is in at seven. Stunningly Northern Iowa, with a 1-4 record and no DI wins, still in the poll.
