(WDAY TV) -- Jim Kleinsasser attended his first UND football game in 13 years last night, watching his former team fall to 23rd ranked Cal Poly, 35-17.
It capped off a big day for Kleinsasser, who was inducted into the UND Hall of Fame.
The Carrington native starred in his 4 years in Grand Forks, and went onto become a popular play with the Vikings, paving the way for runningbacks for 13 years, before retiring last season. Now he's getting used to a different view of the game.
Kleinsasser says, "I feel more nervous watching the games than I actually playing the game. I have a lot of close friends still on the team. So, I want to see them do well. It gets a little nerve wracking. I'm yelling at the TV. I want them to do well. It's tough! But, it's nice to be able to sit back and enjoy the sport."
