Cleveland, ND (WDAY TV) -- An earlier than average harvest has elevators overflowing. Soybean harvest is running nearly 3 weeks ahead of time.

The Country Grain Cooperative in Cleveland, North Dakota says this has been the fastest soybean harvest in the last 30 years. Between the elevator and piles on the ground, the yard was filled in just 15 days.

The elevator says it isn't dumping any more trucks until a train arrives to move some of these 700-thousand bushels of soybeans.

Kevin Knodel, the Cleveland Elevator manager, says, "Our yields are better than last year. The prices are pretty phenomenal. why put 15 dollars beans in the bin?"

Many farmers are now also starting to combine corn. The elevator is preparing to pile a record 1/2 million bushels of corn on the ground.
