BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — A Bismarck man is accused of breaking into a home by smashing a window.

The Bismarck Tribune reports 24-year-old Harold Harlan Jr. was charged Tuesday with felony criminal trespass. A judge set bond for Harlan at $5,000 cash.

Bismarck police say a strange noise woke a 57-year-old woman and a 91-year-old woman who live in the home. The women went to investigate and discovered a man standing in their porch. The 57-year-old woman called police to report the incident and said they were afraid.

Police say officers found Harlan sitting inside the porch, holding up a large shard of glass in his bloodied hands.
