Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - Businesses have found a way to capitalize off of the frenzy surrounding bison football right now.
But the team is putting up a few more points than those businesses planned on, creating a bit of a frenzy at the office.
It's called "Bison Monday." And the more the bison score, the more you save. We found a couple of businesses forced to discount more than half off their products.
An average Monday in September and it looks like Super Bowl Sunday inside Domino's. Pizza's flying out the door as fast as a full staff can finish them.
Tom Olien, Domino's Pizza Manager: "Everyone's working tonight."
Domino's gives a dollar off a large pizza for every touchdown the bison score.
The discount heated up early Saturday as the Bison scored twice just minutes into the game, and Zach Vraa must have smelled the pizza in the end zone as he did some serious work for this dollar off touchdown.
In all, the Bison put up 9 TD's, but Domino's caps the deal at 7.
Suntana however doesn't have a cap. 1% off products per point, it ended up being 66 percent off almost everything inside here.
By the time word spread people were calling in orders, giving their credit card over the phone.
Kelsey Houkom, GM Suntana: "People were saving up for this day."
Suntana has a Moorhead location, a place filled with Cobbers and Dragons, and apparently they were telling workers today they'll now be paying more attention to the Bison games than their own schools come Saturdays.
