Area robbery serves as reminder that cooperation is best in life-threatening situations

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - Area law enforcement is reminding people that when faced with dangerous situations like robberies, fighting is never the best option.

The Cass County Sheriff's department has training classes available for those working in positions where high pressure emergencies may happen.

They say the shots fired at the Sunmart clerk may have been avoided if he would've complied with the suspect's demands.

Joe Gress, Cass County Detective: “You know, I think anytime someone is dealing with money, working late at night, anything like that, I'd consider that a high risk occupation whether it's a clerk at a mini mart or a bank. Don't be a hero, give them the money. Your life is not worth the money.”
