(WDAY TV) -- The "old west" is coming alive on the Dakota prairie.

Thousands from across the world are expected to watch the 47th annual Buffalo Roundup tomorrow. It happens every year at Custer State Park, in South Dakota's Black Hills.

Around 13-hundred bison go thundering across the prairie to be herded into corrals. Some are sold, others branded and vaccinated -- and cows checked for pregnancy.

The event you see here from last year drew 14-thousand people. It is free to go watch.
