Last day of BMX racing at the West Fargo track

West Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- BMX racers in West Fargo will now have to travel a little farther to compete.

West Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- BMX racers in West Fargo will now have to travel a little farther to compete.

Today was the last day of racing at the West Fargo track. The Park District changing the land to a softball diamond. There are other BMX tracks nearby, but racers must qualify at two out of three tracks to make it to state.

And with the West Fargo track closed, there are only two left in North Dakota. Chris Rosenberg and his son Dawson both race.

Chris says, "very sad, he asked me, you know, when are we gonna be able to race again here at the track. I had to tell him no, it's not gonna be open anymore."

The park district says IT had been working with West Fargo BMX for the past five years.
