(WDAY TV) -- The wait is over for UND football fans, for the first time since the old North Central Conference Division two days, they will play in a conference game that really matters. No offense to the Great West.

North Dakota is in California for a second straight week, this time to open the Big Sky slate against Sacramento State.

While the offense has been electric for UND, they'd like to see some improvement from their defense that's given up nearly 400 yards per game.

Both teams enter conference play with identical 2-1 records, and both like to show a lot of different looks on defense, and the comparisons don't stop there.

UND Head Coach, Chris Mussman, says, "You look at this one and it's almost like mirror images of each other. Two programs that are pretty similar right now. I'm expecting a good fourth quarter conference battle."

That's an 8 o'clock kickoff central time. You can listen to the game

on AM-970 WDAY. We're scheduled to have highlights on our late newscast.
