Grand Forks, ND (WDAY TV) -- Grand Forks is planning to build a 7-million dollar youth arena, and the Ralph and Betty Engelstad Family Foundation is giving the large project a kick start.
It's contributing 500-thousand dollars to the project to be a matching grant.
The foundation stipulates that a matching 500-thousand dollars needs to be raised by June 30th for its gift to go into effect.
The foundation doesn't want naming rights, officials say that will cost someone 2-million dollars.
Ralph Engelstad is a former UND goalie, who donated 104-million dollars for the hockey arena that bears his name.
