Apple releases the iPhone 5 in Fargo

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- The much anticipated day is finally here. Apple released the iPhone 5 at 8 this morning.

There were nearly 50-people in line outside the Verizon store in South Fargo waiting for the phone. Some showed up as early as five this morning.

The Store manager says the slimmer, light-weight, 4-G compatible iPhone 5 is the most anticipated release to date for the store. The phone retails from 199-dollars to 399-dollars.

Barry Stall, Verizon store manager, says, "I would say we have a little more excitement this time around because the phone is now a 4G phone. So the phone is 10-times faster than what they have for their existing iPhone. So there's a lot of excitement for this phone."
