EWISTON, Idaho (AP) — Police say a man they suspect of involvement in a 2011 shooting in north-central Idaho has been arrested in North Dakota.
The Lewiston Tribune reports 41-year-old Steven R. Francis was arrested in Tioga, North Dakota earlier this week and is awaiting extradition to Idaho, where he is charged with three counts of attempted second-degree murder.
The Lewis County Sheriff's Office says they believe Francis was involved in a shootout that happened after several men stormed a Kamiah home in an apparent attempt to collect a debt. Three people were treated at an area hospital after the shooting, but there were no fatalities.
