Audubon, MN (WDAY TV) -- Friends and family of those lost in Vietnam have a chance to visit the memorial right in their own community. The Moving Wall, a replica of the Vietnam Memorial in Washington, D.C., is in Audubon for the weekend.

Here in Audubon, a replica of the Vietnam Memorial is giving residents a rare opportunity.

Duke Dunham: "To be able to show up here and see their relatives, their friends names. Maybe the people they served with. That's what I look for."

Duke Dunham served in Vietnam as a hospital corpsman with the Marines. Several men in his unit are listed on this wall.

Dunham: "East two. East and three is where my names are."

All the names are here. In the order that they died. Just as they appear on the original wall in Washington, D.C., but about half the size.

This is one of two walls that travel the country. They give people an opportunity to see this memorial, even if they can't make it to the one in Washington, D.C.

The Wind and Fire Motorcycle club spent nearly two years bringing the wall to Audubon.

John Ronning: "We've had people here already, we barely got it set up, that are here making rubbings off the wall, loved ones and friends that were lost in Vietnam."

Dunham has visited the original memorial.

He has also seen the moving wall a few times.

Dunham: "It dims it a little bit each time, but it's still moving to see it, as I can feel the tremble in my voice right now, just talking about it."

A grand opening ceremony is set for Saturday at 10 a.m.
