Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - It's an engineering student's dream at the Fargodome today.

NDSU held the largest engineering and tech expo it's ever had.

More than 16,000 students showed up to drop off applications for internships and after-graduation jobs.

NDSU says oil companies, like Halliburton, were a big draw this year.

Students say meeting employers in person makes a huge difference.

Jonathan Miller, NDSU Mech. Engineering Student: "You can talk to someone face to face, shake their hand, interact with them, and interact with them directly instead of finding this information out on a webpage. It makes it a lot more beneficial to me and to them."

More than 170 employers were recruiting.
