Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - There is some good news for people in Fargo in the 2013 city budget.
Your property taxes should remain virtually the same, unless the value of your property goes up.
City commissions voted to approve the 2013 budget with spending of 212.5 million dollars.
That is 4 percent lower than the 2012 budget.
The mill levy will remain unchanged as it has since 2006 that, in turn, helps keep property taxes steady.
The city did have to make up for a loss of federal grant revenue for police and fire positions.
The budget also includes a 2 percent cost-of-living increase for Fargo employees.
