Thief River Falls, MN (WDAY TV) -- An old Thief River Falls building is getting a make-over.

The city's historic Carnegie Library is getting a one point two million dollar renovation. All of the money came from donations.

The project is the result of a public effort to save the century old building. The local Chamber and CVB are expected to move into the building when the renovation is complete next month.

Don Stewert, the project manager, says, "We were developed as a lumber town and most of our buildings were wood structures and have been destroyed or demolished over the years."

Michael J Burns Architecture of Moorhead is restoring the building.
