West Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- Alzheimer's patients, families, and supporters got out their walking shoes today in West Fargo.
The Walk to End Alzheimer's brought hundreds together to raise money and awareness about the disease. Walkers trekked two miles around Rendezvous Park.
Organizers say they've never seen so many people at the walk.
Gretchen Dobervich, North Dakota field director, says, "it's really encouraging that there's a movement now of people who are saying we need to end alzheimers disease and the more people that can join our movement the closer we get to that being a reality."
18-thousand North Dakotans are close to someone affected by Alzheimer's.
