(WDAY TV) -- The creators of a popular website that chronicles North Dakota ghost towns through photography are trying to publish those pictures in a book.
Troy Larson and Terry Hinnenkamp of Fargo started an online "kickstarter" campaign for "ghosts of North Dakota." For ten years, they have posted photos of nearly 100 abandoned and nearly-abandoned towns throughout the state.
They will publish those photos in a coffee table book if they can raise 12-thousand dollars by October 10th.
Terry Hinnenkamp, co-creator, says, "a lot of artists can't really get loans from banks to support projects like this. So, it's a great way to kind of use the community to help support the project. And really, that's what Ghosts of North Dakota has been all about."
They have raised nearly 35-hundred dollars so far.
