FARGO, N.D. (AP) — A linebacker who was kicked off the North Dakota State football team has pleaded not guilty to indecent exposure.
The Forum newspaper reports that Brandon Jemison did not appear in court Wednesday. Defense attorney Bruce Quick entered the plea to the misdemeanor charge on Jemison's behalf.
Judge Wade Webb set bond at $200 cash, which Quick posted. Jemison could face up to a year in jail and a $2,000 fine if convicted.
Jemison is accused of exposing himself in the presence of a woman and child on July 27 at a Fargo mall. He was later dismissed from the team for what coach Craig Bohl said was a violation of team rules. NDSU is the defending Football Championship Subdivision champion.
