Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - During this suicide prevention month, the Fargo VA is doing more to help those who have served our country.
All morning, the VA hosted a special Resource Fair for vets.
Because of the ongoing focus on mental health issues, a lot of the booths featured what is available to veterans regarding suicide prevention and homelessness.
Recently, the Fargo VA has spear-headed many programs to get vets the mental health care being offered throughout the region.
Tammy Monsebroten, Suicide Prevention Manager: “People, if they are a mental health patient and you just come in and need help that day and we can figure it out. If you are not, they come in and are seen the same day: a doctor, psychiatrist, or nurse. Whoever is needed at that time.”
