Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - Golfers are teeing off in Fargo to raise money for victims of sexual and domestic violence.
The Fargo-Moorhead rape and abuse crisis center teamed up with marathon fundraisers of Grand Forks for the first ever golf marathon at Rose Creek.
Four participants played one hundred holes in a single day each with a cart and caddy, golfing at their own pace.
Sponsors donated either per hole or in a total sum with all money benefiting the center.
Lynn Speral, Director of Development: “I am amazed and honored to be in their midst today. They arrived when it was dark this morning and it was so darn cold. The wind was blowing and they were so excited to get on the course. I was just out there a few minutes ago to check on them and they are just having a great day.”
The event raised about seven thousand dollars.
