Local fundraiser helps raise money for people with disabilities

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- A local fundraiser for people with disabilities continues to soar to new heights.

Hundreds of people showed up to Oak Grove Park for the 7th annual Walk and Roll-A-Thon. The Creative Care For Reaching Independence Organization puts on the fundraiser.

Organizers hope to raise 20 thousand dollars.

Shannon Bock, CCRI Director, says, "we do a prom each year for our clients, which just happened over the summer, but it also helps to fill the needs for another portion of our clients as well, some times some of our homeless clients get housed."

Money raised goes toward a softball league, therapy, and winter clothing.
