Three Grand Forks men are charged with assault

Grand Forks, ND (WDAY TV) -- Three men are charged for assaulting a man in downtown Grand Forks late last night, then stealing his cell phone.

It happened just after 2 at 215 North 3rd Street. Police say the victim confronted the suspects for urinating in a parking lot. The suspects assaulted his, stole his cell phone, and fled.

Police found the suspects about 20 minutes later in the McDonald's parking lot on Gateway Drive.

27-year-old Jason Gore from Florida, 26-year-old Alexander Forrest, from Delaware, and 35-year-old James Costello, from Pennsylvania, face Class B Misdemeanors related to the robbery.

Police say the victim's injuries are minor.
