Warroad, MN (WDAY TV) -- There is excitement today in Warroad, Minnesota. President Obama mentioned Marvin Windows and Doors in his acceptance speech at the Democratic National Convention.

The president said Marvin gives him hope, for other businesses. Although the company has not laid off anyone, owners say it has been tough since the downturn of the housing market.

They have had to make some cuts including 401-K plans, cut hours from 40 to 32 hours a week, and stop pay raises. It's meant workers can keep their jobs,

and that caught the attention of President Obama and the rest of the nation.
