BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — Fifty-five North Dakota National Guard soldiers who spent a year helping the multinational peacekeeping mission in Kosovo are back on American soil.
Gov. Jack Dalrymple says the soldiers with the Bismarck-based 112th Aviation Regiment arrived at Camp Atterbury, Indiana, early Friday. They will go through the demobilization process there before returning to North Dakota in about a week.
The soldiers helped organize and coordinate air missions in Kosovo.
