(WDAY TV) -- Jim McElwain has been to the top of the college football mountain during his time at Alabama, winning two national titles, including last year's crown, and he knows all about letdowns, something he's fighting this week with his Colorado State team.

The Rams are coming off an emotional win over in-state rival Colorado, and now have to get ready for an NDSU team that won't be intimidated heading

into a hostile environment.

McElwain says, "move forward to an opponent that I have had circled on the calendar since I saw the schedule. A FCS National Championship team, a team that knows how to win, a team that is physical, a team that goes out and beats FBS opponents every year. Having been in the FCS ranks as long as I have been, there is something special about getting to play and FBS foe. I know that these guys are coming in here expecting to win and nothing less. That's something that we really got to make our guys understand as well."

McElwain is 5-0 all-time against FCS teams, our coverage starts at 4 from Fort Collins on, complete highlights and reaction on WDAY after Nascar.
