Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- Eight Bison football players, are facing charges of voter fraud.
That includes 4-starters: Josh Colville, Brendin Pierre, Sam Ojuri and Marcus Williams.
The players were being paid to collect signatures for petitions, to get measures on the November ballot. Attorney General Wayne Stenehjem says almost 25-thousand signatures were disqualified.
And now, the 2 measures, one to set up a state fund for conservation projects, and the other to make marijuana legal for medical purposes, won't make the ballot.
Al Jaeger, ND Secretary of State, says, "You start seeing things that raise red flags. Here we have a petition that is all in blue ink, all the names a easy to read, then we have an address here 25th Ave. South in Fargo with a 58078 zip code and you know that's West Fargo."
