Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - With so many people relaxing at the lakes, it was hard to find people left in Fargo for the holiday. That is, until you drove by a golf course.

Courses in the area are packed for what some call the unofficial end of summer. At Rose Creek Golf Course, groups of 4 to 5 people teed off every 8 minutes, all day long.

Tom Hanson starts people at the first hole. He says golfers in our area squeeze out every moment they can on the course before winter sets in. Rose Creek has been packed all summer, and today was no different.

Tom Hanson – Rose Creek Golf Course: "Even the lake people, they will play the courses at the lakes. And they're busy today too. They're packed, I'm sure."

Hanson says with a mild winter, the course opened 5 weeks earlier this year, giving people more days to challenge themselves on the course.
