Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - When sophomore wide receiver Zach Vraa first stepped onto the NDSU campus, the former Mr. Minnesota for football couldn't wait to put on a show inside the FargoDome. Two years and 3 broken collarbones later, he played in his first full game, helping the Bison route Robert Morris on opening night, 52-0.
Vraa hauled in 4 passes for a team-high 76 yards. His best grab of the day, was when he reached back across his body, to snag a 46 yard reception. For Vraa, it all couldn't come soon enough.
Zach Vraa – NDSU Sophomore Wide Receiver: “Every quarter I played through felt better and better, especially because they were throwing me some passes and we were getting some good blocks. It felt good. I felt comfortable with everything, even around blocking. I just felt like I was back in high school.”
Brock Jensen – 16-23, 217 yds, 3 TDs against RMU: “Every time he falls down I cringe to be honest…He's a tough kid. He has a lot of talent. He's going to be a big receiver for us and he's going to make a lot more plays. So, it was good to see him get through a game healthy.”
The Bison play at 1-0 Colorado State next Saturday.
