Valley City, ND (WDAY TV) - North Dakota jails are moving to a new type of HIV and hepatitis C testing for inmates. The Barnes County Corrections Center in Valley City is one jail in the state that is phasing out oral swab tests for rapid results testing.

Oral swabs take about five to six days to mail and receive results back. The new tests will draw blood with a finger stick and provide immediate results.
