Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - Some people may be re-thinking their travel plans this Labor Day weekend due to rising gas prices. The national average price has risen to a record $3.82 per gallon, according to AAA. That's a nine cent jump in one week.

Gas in Fargo is running around 3.69. Loves gas station was packed with drivers filling up before the last big weekend of summer. One NDSU Student traveling to see his grandparents says the price of gas is as bad as tuition.

Kyle Tasler – NDSU Student: “I'm a college student so, definitely looking to stay low on the prices of gas, money, anything that really spends money you want to stay low on.”

Gas prices are higher than they've been going into any other Labor Day weekend on record.
