Fergus Falls, MN (WDAY TV) - Fergus Falls is offering the chance for a 5-K Run, but be ready to get dirty. The first ever Viking Challenge is planned for Saturday, September 15th in Fergus.

The 5K Mud Run will benefit cancer programs in that area. The Wilderness course is just north of Fergus Falls on several acres of hills and ponds. Music, Food and Fire are also part of the festival that will accompany the Mud Run.

Organizers say you can run on your own or as part of a team.

Tollef Ringdahl – Viking Challenge: “The biggest challenge we have is the course is so large is making all the obstacles and cutting trails and insuring everybody is going to have fun.”

There will be obstacles of hay bales, mud pits, tires, rocks and hills. Five of the 13 obstacles are full of mud. For more on this click on the Easy Link tab.
