FARGO, N.D. (AP) — A subsidiary of Walgreens is closing a call center in Fargo where 63 people work. More than half could lose their jobs.

The Forum newspaper reports that the Take Care Health Systems facility will shut down by the end of the year. Walgreens spokesman Jim Graham says the company decided to move work to call centers that employ 500 people or more.

The Fargo center opened in 2007. Employees take calls relating to such matters as billing and customer service for clinics that operate within Walgreens pharmacies. Graham says 28 workers will be given the option of working from home. The remaining Fargo positions will be moved to a center in Orlando, Fla.
