ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — The Minnesota Legislature has convened in special session to vote on a $167.5 million relief package for Duluth and other communities damaged by floods and storms.

The House gaveled in shortly after 2 p.m. on Friday.

The flood relief package is expected to get its first vote in the House before going to the Senate.

The bill contains money to rebuild roads and other infrastructure, help flooded homeowners and match federal disaster aid after floods and windstorms hit northeastern Minnesota and other parts of the state in June and early July.
