Glyndon, MN (WDAY TV) -- A high speed crash in Clay county with a violent impact left one man injured.
It happened just after noon at the intersection of highway 10 and 9 east of Glyndon. Troopers say the driver of the black jeep was driving eastbound on highway 10. Going about 65 miles an hour when he ran a red light.
He crashed into a red pick-up coming off of highway 9 onto highway 10 sending it on its side. The man driving the pick-up was taken to the hospital. No word on his condition.
The driver of the jeep was not injured. Troopers say this accident shows the importance of wearing a seat belt.
Trooper Mark Herbranson - Minnesota State Patrol: "As you can see the vehicle can sustain a very substantial accident - and drivers can walk away as long as they're wearing seat belts."
No word yet on if any citations will be issued.
