Freedom Elementary's enrollment is already over the limit

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- The newest school building in West Fargo, is already over the limit. Freedom Elementary has 565 students enrolled.

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- The newest school building in West Fargo, is already over the limit. Freedom Elementary has 565 students enrolled.

The building was built to accompany 550 at a max. School officials expected 470 students the first year. They weren't expecting to start talking about construction of the new elementary until Freedom was at 85 percent capacity.

Dr. David Flowers, West Fargo Schools superintendent, says, "on Monday evening we will be talking with the board about alternatives, of course we have authority from the voters to issue bonds to build an additional Elementary school, and we had not anticipated needing to trigger that yet."

There are 8 thousand 47 students enrolled in West Fargo, on the first day fo school.
