Moorhead man arrested for marijuana possession

Moorhead, MN (WDAY TV) - Clay County Deputies arrested a Moorhead man early Wednesday morning for marijuana possession.

A Clay County Deputy stopped a vehicle in the 1200 block of 11th Street South in Moorhead for an expired driver's license. Upon approaching the vehicle, the deputy detected a strong marijuana odor coming from the vehicle. The deputy asked the driver if the driver had any marijuana. The driver responded by showing the deputy a large bag of marijuana.

Nineteen year-old Jake Donahue of Moorhead was arrested and is being held in the Clay County Jail on 5th Degree Controlled Substance charges. A large amount of cash was seized in the stop, along with the vehicle the suspect was driving.
