Enderlin, ND (WDAY TV) -- Blending faith and science can be easier said than done, but one man is traveling the world trying to do just that. For the past 4 days, the jack-of-all-trades has been putting on his showcase in the town of Enderlin, North Dakota.

Doctor Dean Ortner has been performing his Wonders of Science show for the past 42 years. He famously shot 1 million volts of electricity through his body on the show "Ripley's Believe it or Not."

For Ortner it's about giving children and adults alike a different way to think about science versus God. Rather than competing, he says the two go hand in hand.

Dr. Dean Ortner - Wonders of Science: "It's a very low key, non-denominational approach, we stick with the basic issues, and watch people say, we never thought of it that before, and then they take another look at the issues and data."

Ortner has received two doctorates and is a former professor at NDSU.
