Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- As you may have noticed, fall is upon us. Some trees are turning colors. The nights are getting cooler, but there is one store in Fargo that's jumping seasons. Instead of pumpkins, turkey and gravy, it's thinking Christmas - in August.
With the temperatures falling a lot of you may be preparing about what costume you'll wear for Halloween, or what you'll carve on your pumpkin, but fast forward a little bit because here in Hobby Lobby it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.
Dave Craft - Hobby Lobby Manager: "As soon as we put it out people start shopping it."
Hobby Lobby manager Dave Craft says Christmas merchandise like these bright ornaments and forever green trees are the fastest to be put on shelves out of any other Holiday.
The merchandise filling the shelves gets shipped into the store at the end of April. Craft says some customers don't like the early holiday buzz, but the store stocking shelves about 4 months before Santa comes to town isn't only for those looking to beat out the Griswolds.
Dave Craft: "You've heard of Christmas in July, and there's all sorts of craft shows and street fairs that go on all through the fall and the surrounding areas, so ideally anyone that's going to try and sell something has to have time to make enough product to make any money on it. If we don't get it out to them soon enough then they can't do anything."
Although some may try hard to deny the holiday spirit in the festive aisles, Craft says most customers can't resist and ornament or two.
Nationally stores are rolling out Christmas decorations earlier than in years past.
