Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- Democratic Representatives Corey Mock and Ed Gruchalla are looking to make politics in North Dakota more ethical.

They are trying to gain support for the proposed Sunshine Act 2013. It would enhance disclosure requirements, increase government transparency, and would be North Dakotas first ethics and oversight committee.

North Dakota is one of three states that does not have an ethics commission or committee.

Representative Cory Mock - (D) Grand Forks: "We really need this. We're hearing about a few cases as of late. This issue has been ongoing for many decades. North Dakota has never had oversight to this level. If we're hearing about a couple cases, what are we not hearing about? I think that's the greatest concern."

The bill would have to be drafted with specific legislation to be passed in the Legislature.
