Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- People in the F-M area celebrated Pagan Pride to honor the religions Autumn Equinox holiday.

Members of the Pagan religion spent the day talking about their culture and practices. They also took part in some ritual ceremonies like drum playing, and had fun with activities like hula hooping.

The pagan religion is a religious movement based on combinations of ancient polytheism, modern eco-spirituality, and reverence for both masculine and feminine.

Organizers wanted today's event to bring more awareness about the culture and religion.

Rev. Scott Wardzinski with the Lake Agassiz Pagan Community says, "to let people know what we're about, there's a lot of negative opinions about Paganism, and we're here to basically show this is what we're about, we have nothing to hide and we invite you to come out and join us."

There are about 100 members of the Lake Agassiz Pagan Community.
